About the Scheme
Brief
It is a flagship placement-linked skill training program under the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. It aims to transform poor rural youth into an economically independent, globally relevant workforce through industry-aligned training and sustainable employment opportunities.
Objectives
To provide high-quality skill training to rural poor youth, enabling them to secure regular, minimum-wage employment, and to support career progression, retention, and economic empowerment.
Eligibility Criteria
Any Rural poor unemployed youth:-
1. Aged between 18 to 35 years, upto 40 for APST
2. Minimum Class 8th Pass
