About the Scheme
Brief
The Chief Ministers Agriculture Mechanisation Programme (CMAMP) is a state-level initiative in Arunachal Pradesh designed to modernize farming practices and improve agricultural productivity by providing high-cost machinery at subsidized rates
Objectives
Modernize farming by adopting technology-based operations, improving productivity in small and marginal holdings, and ensuring affordability through subsidies and hiring services
Eligibility Criteria
- Aged 18 years and above
- Progressive farmers, SHGs, FPOs and unemployed agriculture/allied graduates
- The applicant or any family member must be a first-time buyer with no prior ownership of similar machinery
- Government servants or retired employees of state/statutory bodies are not eligible to apply
Benefits
For Individuals:
- 50% subsidy for SC, ST, small, marginal and women farmers
- 40% subsidy for other general category farmers
- Subsidy released through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) or paid directly to dealer
For Individuals Farmers:
- 50% subsidy for SC, ST, small, marginal and women farmers.
-40% subsidy for other general category farmers:
- Tractor (45 HP): ₹5.00 Lakh subsidy
- Combine Harvester: ₹15.00 Lakh subsidy
- Power Tiller (10 HP+): ₹0.85 Lakh subsidy
- Paddy Transplanter: ₹1.50 Lakh subsidy
- Water Pump Set (10 HP): ₹0.35 Lakh subsidy
For Groups like SHGs or FPOs to set up rental centre like Custom Hiring Centres (CHCs)/Farm Machinery Banks (FMBs) :
- 40% to 80% of the project cost
- 80% of the project cost (up to a certain limit) for CHCs managing crop residue
Financial Support:
- High fixed subsidies for costly machinery
- Minimal personal investment for small and marginal farmers
- Subsidy paid directly to dealers for transparency
Group & business opportunity (SHGs/FPOs):
- Income generation through Custom Hiring Centres (CHCs) and machinery banks
- Low entry cost with major government cost-sharing
- Training and technical support from nodal agencies
Productivity & Environment benefits
- Saves time and labour; improves crop productivity
- Incentives for crop residue management machinery
- Enables double cropping through faster operations
Community Empowerment:
- Priority to first-time machinery owners
- Special focus on progressive farmers, unemployed youth, and APST members
