About the Scheme
Brief
The Atma Nirbhar Krishi Yojana (ANKY) is a flagship credit-linked subsidy scheme launched by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh on September 3, 2021. It is designed to promote self-reliance in the agriculture sector by providing financial support and technical guidance to farmers and Self-Help Groups (SHGs)
Objectives
To achieve agricultural self-reliance by turning unemployed youth into agri-preneurs, increasing farmers’ income through scientific and double-cropping practices, and promoting modern technology and farm machinery for higher efficiency
Eligibility Criteria
- Educated unemployed youth, Individual Farmers, Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs)
- Must possess suitable land for cultivation (minimum 0.50 hectares for individuals)
- Government employees and bank defaulters are ineligible
Benefits
- 45% Government subsidy
- 45% Bank Loan
- 10% Beneficiary Contribution
- Individual youth can get collateral-free loans up to ₹1.6 lakh, while SHGs and FPOs can access up to ₹10 lakh
- Subsidies are available for purchasing high-cost machinery like tractors, power tillers, and brush cutters
- Funding covers large-scale activities including scientific land terracing, tea/rubber plantations, and apiculture (beekeeping)
