About the Scheme
Brief
The Government of Arunachal Pradesh has introduced The Chief Minister's Krishi Rinn Yojana (CMKRY) with the aim of providing a zero interest crop loan facility to farmers of the state to enable them easy access to formal credit through banking channels.
Objectives
To provide zero-interest crop loans, encouraging farmers to use formal banking credit and ensuring timely finance for improved agricultural productivity
Eligibility Criteria
- All farmers (small, marginal, or large)
- Members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs)
- Must be a Kisan Credit Card (KCC) holder
- Exclusively for farmers cultivating short-term crops; perennial food and plantation crops are excluded
- Farmers must have a good repayment track record and return the short-term credit within one year of disbursement
Benefits
- 4% Interest Subvention provided by State Government
- Interest-free loans up to ₹3 lakh for timely repayment
- 3% additional interest relief for prompt repayment within one year
- Combined with Central subventions, the effective interest rate becomes 0%
- Reduced financial burden, enabling reinvestment in crops
- Simplified KCC documentation using Circle Officer’s cultivated area certificate
