About the Scheme
Brief
To promote the local APST candidates to compete in National Competitive Examination being conducted by the UPSC.
Objectives
To empower economically disadvantaged APST students and improve representation from the state in national-level examinations.
Eligibility Criteria
Residency: Must be a bonafide APST (Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe) candidate.
Education: Must be a graduate in any stream from a recognised university.
Academic Performance: Minimum 60% marks in Class 12 and at least 50% marks in graduation.
Income: Total family annual income must not exceed ₹6 lakhs.
Benefits
-Full Tuition Coverage: The state government pays the entire cost for General Studies (valued at ₹70,000 per student) and Optional Paper coaching (valued at ₹30,000 per student).
-Study Materials: Comprehensive preparation materials are provided to all candidates at no extra cost.
-Post-Selection Assistance: APST candidates who qualify for specific national examinations (such as NDA, CDS, IFoS, or IES) receive a one-time financial incentive of ₹2 lakhs upon final selection.
-Prelims & Mains Support: Some versions of state support provide up to ₹2 lakhs for clearing Prelims and ₹3 lakhs for clearing Mains to further assist with preparation costs
-Fully Residential Program: Selected candidates for the 2025-26 cycle receive 10 months of fully sponsored residential coaching at the Sankalp IAS Coaching Centre in New Delhi.
-Free Boarding & Lodging: The scheme includes full coverage for food and accommodation during the training period in Delhi.
-Structured Mentorship: Students have access to supervised study sessions and structured mentorship from experienced faculty
