About the Scheme

Brief
The Dulari Kanya Scheme is a state flagship programme in Arunachal Pradesh launched to empower the girl child, encourage institutional deliveries, and prevent child marriage.

Objective
The objective of the scheme is to end the preference between male and female child, encouragement of institutional delivery, immunization of children, to end child marriage and overall empowerment of females in all spheres of their life.

Eligibility Criteria
- Girl child must be born in a Government or Government-recognized private hospital in Arunachal Pradesh
- Father/guardian must be APST, Arunachal Pradesh domicile, or hold a household residential certificate
- Scheme is limited to the first two live girl children

Benefits
₹20,000 deposited as a fixed deposit in the girl child’s minor bank account

- During Initial Application (at Birth) i. Delivery/Discharge Certificate ii. Birth Certificate iii. MCP Card iv. Residence Proof v. Aadhaar Cards vi. Two group photographs of the girl child with her parents/guardians - During Claim of Maturity (at Age 18) i. Class 10 pass certificate and marksheet ii. Self-Declaration confirming the girl is unmarried on her 18th birthday iii. SBI passbook iv. Withdrawal Form: Filled and signed by the beneficiary herself
