About the Scheme
Brief
The scheme for APST Youth is a high-impact intervention designed to bridge the gap between urban transport demand and youth unemployment.
Objective
To promote self-employment among indigenous youth while simultaneously improving intra-city and public transportation connectivity within the state.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a bonafide Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST)
- Aged between 25 to 40 years
- Must be unemployed (not in any government or semi-government job) and not currently running an established business
- Only one applicant per family is eligible
- Beneficiaries must be permanent residents of the specific district where the advertisement is issued (e.g., Kurung Kumey or Itanagar Capital Complex)
Benefits
- Tata Winger: Front-ended subsidy of ₹9 lakhs
- Force Traveller: Front-ended subsidy of ₹11.50 lakhs
- Selection is typically conducted via a lottery system due to high demand
