About the Scheme
Brief
The TEJAS (Training for Emirates Jobs And Skills) initiative is a skilling project launched under the Skill India International Project to facilitate overseas employment for Indians, specifically in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Objective
- To align Indian skill standards with global norms to ensure workers are job-ready for international markets
- To provide a structured bridge for Indians to secure jobs in the UAE and other Gulf countries
- To equip the workforce with specific technical and soft skills required by UAE employers.
Eligibility Criteria
- Target Audience: Indian National
- Age 18 years and above
- Skill Focus: The program targets various roles, including:
i. IT/Engineering: Full Stack, Desktop, NET, and QA Engineers
ii. Technical Trades: HVAC technicians, Plumbers, Welders, and Multi-skilled technicians
iii. Service Sector: Cooks, Food & Beverage operators, Hospitality staff, Retail assistants, and Drivers
iv. Professional: Healthcare and Finance professionals
