About the Scheme
Brief
Certification program for individuals with prior skills to gain industry-recognized skill certification, mainly for unregulated sectors.
Objective
- To align the competencies of the unorganized workforce of the country to the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF)
- To enhance the employability of candidates and provide pathways for further skilling or higher education
- To reduce the skill gap in the existing workforce and increase work efficiency through standardized certification
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be an Indian citizen
- Aged 18 to 59 years
- Must have prior work experience in the specific job role for which certification is sought, as defined by the respective Sector Skill Councils (SSCs)
- Must possess a valid Aadhaar card and an Aadhaar-linked bank account

- Every certified candidate receives 3-year accidental insurance coverage of ₹2 lakh at no cost
